Revolut becomes one of the first banks in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the first in Romania to launch eSIM, to help customers avoid unexpected roaming costs in over 100 countries.
“eSIM is the latest feature added by Revolut to its suite of travel products that includes currency exchange, booking accommodation through Stays, scheduling guided tours and tourist attractions with Activities, access to Airport Lounges, travel insurance included for Premium, Metal and Ultra subscribers”, Revolut informed on Monday.
Revolut eSIM enables all customers to access mobile data when traveling abroad and stay connected to the internet without experiencing interruptions or unexpected roaming charges.
Once installed, the eSIM allows users to load their data requirements wherever they travel, without the need for a physical SIM and without using their mobile data included in their mobile phone plan. If a Revolut customer lands in a country and does not have access to data, they can still access the Revolut app and use all products and features, including the ability to add more mobile data.
